For the High Holidays there was coming that synagogue the best cantors for Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, the best cantors. And police was standing outside, and who want to go in used to have to have a ticket, you know, there. I come, I take a look. Where is there the building? Where the synagogue? Demolished to the ground. And little mamzers [Hebrew/Yiddish, lit. "bastards," but here used affectionately, i.e. little rascals] playing around there in the sand, you know. I say, "Ribono shel Olam [Hebrew/Yiddish, "Master of the World," i.e. God, a common exclamation], what's going on here, what is this?"_________ _________ _________ _________ _________ _________
